Some medical updates from Todd Tomczyk: 

• Edward Florentino (ankle) was injured in mid-February and is back to full baseball activities, but he will not compete in the Spring Breakout game against the Tigers on Friday. Florentino, the Pirates' No. 4-ranked prospect according to MLB Pipeline, is expected to get back into game action later this month or early next month. 

• Jack Brannigan (nasal fracture) has resumed all baseball activities. He is projected to get back into game activity later this month. 

• Chris Devenski (concussion) has resumed some light activities after being struck in the side of the head by a line drive against the Tigers on Friday in Lakeland, Fla. He was scheduled to play some light catch today and the medical staff will monitor his symptoms daily. 

• Jared Jones (elbow) continues his return-to-pitch progression and is right on schedule. He had a planned deload week, but has returned to throwing sides and is preparing for another live batting practice early next week.
