• RUNS: Pirates regain the lead on a two-run single to right by Canario. Pirates, 3-2
• McCutchen comes through with a ground-rule double. Fan interference called on the play. Runners on second and third with one out.
• IKF leads off the third with a single to right. Might have been extra bases had Perez not trapped it on a slide.
• End of second inning: Falter limits the damage to two runs on four hits. Got Meadows to pop out and Torres to strike out, stranding runners on the corners.
• Baez comes through with a one-out single up the middle. Runners on the corners. Another fastball on the inner third from Falter. All four hits allowed have come on his fastball.
• Three straight hits for the Tigers. McKinstry singles through IKF and Gonzales.
• Falter threw four seamers on the inner part of the plate to both Torkelson and Perez. Made him pay.
