With the 2025 season just around the corner, the University of Pittsburgh and head coach Pat Narduzzi have announced 19 student-athletes who have been added to the football roster.
The list of newcomers features 16 freshmen, including eight walk-ons, as well as three transfer walk-ons. In total, Pitt added eight players on defense, eight on offense and three specialists.
The incoming freshmen, which include a few WPIAL products, are running back JaylinBrown (Cardinal Newman; West Palm Beach, Fla.), kicker TreyButkowski (Lake Nona; Orlando, Fla.), offensive lineman Torian Chester (Westover; Albany, Ga.), defensive lineman CharlieDonehue (Olentangy Liberty; Powell, Ohio), offensive lineman JordanFields (North Shore; Houston, Texas), linebacker EmoryFluhr (Lampeter-Strasburg; Willow Street, Pa.), quarterback BeauJackson (West Bloomfield; West Bloomfield, Mich.), offensive lineman JoshNindl (Pine-Richland; Gibsonia, Pa.), long snapper HenrySearcy (Lawton Chiles; Tallahassee, Fla.), running back SynkwanSmith (Roswell; Roswell, Ga.), defensive lineman TrevorSommers (St. Thomas Aquinas; Davie, Fla.), defensive back ValdezStuvaints (McKeesport; McKeesport, Pa.), punter KaemonTijerina (Redford Union; Redford, Mich.), offensive lineman ShepTurk (Thomas Jefferson; Jefferson Hills, Pa.), linebacker JohnWetzel (Greater Latrobe, Latrobe, Pa.) and defensive back ColeWoodson (Battlefield; Haymarket, Va.).
The transfers are former Texas A&M offensive lineman TyBanco (Trinity; Washington, Pa.), former Sacred Heart defensive lineman CamRosinsky (South Fayette; Noblestown, Pa.) and former Chowan defensive back MarcusSerrano (Frankford; Philadelphia, Pa.).
The Panthers will host seven games this fall, including four ACC contests and last year's College Football Playoff (CFP) runner-up, Notre Dame, on Nov. 15.
