To anyone and everyone arriving this coming week for the NFL Draft, for Stanley Cup playoffs or for Pirates-Rays ... the answer to the most common question we're getting is ...
YES!
Which is to say ...
YES, WE'LL BE OPEN! A LOT!
To be specific, the immensely expanded hours at our Downtown HQ/shop, located at 224 Fifth Avenue, will be as follows:
• Today: 12-7 p.m. • Tomorrow: 10 a.m.-2 p.m. • Monday, April 20: 12 p.m.-6 p.m. • Tuesday, April 21: 9 a.m.-9 p.m. • Wednesday, April 22: 9 a.m.-9 p.m. • Thursday, April 23: 9 a.m.-9 p.m. • Friday, April 24: 9 a.m.-9 p.m. • Saturday, April 25: 9 a.m.-9 p.m. • Sunday, April 26: 10 a.m.-2 p.m.
Dali, Dara and other helpers will be there throughout, and I'll be there absolutely as much as possible given that there's also an abundance of news to cover, both here and in Philadelphia. But, as ever, the best bet to find me would be in the afternoons.
If you're kind enough to stop and see us, you won't be disappointed. We're stacked to the ceiling with officially licensed NFL Draft merchandise, and some of that can't be found anywhere else. We'll also be doing all kinds of live programming from the studio area, and that'll be pumped out onto the sidewalk in front of our windows, thanks to brand new exterior audio we had installed just yesterday.
No one on this side of the water will have a fraction of what we have. We'll be THE place.
And if it isn't already showing here, we're super-stoked for all of this. Bring it on.
INSIDE THE WORKS
• Statistics, schedules and standings will be back soon. Waiting on some particulars. They'll be better and easier to find than ever.
• It's now infinitely easier to copy the link to a feed entry. Just tap the triple-dots off to the right and choose 'copy link.' Don't ask how convoluted that'd been beforehand.
• Travelogue: Taylor Haase and I will double-team the entirety of the playoffs. Just don't ask how I'll be bouncing back and forth across the commonwealth through Games 3 and 4. ... José Negron will have the Pirates' trip next week through Arlington, Texas, and Milwaukee.
• A reminder I'll be making a lot: A subscription to this app/site covers only that. It doesn't apply to any memberships we offer on YouTube. And the same is true, obviously, in reverse. The reason: The commerce platforms have nothing in common.
• Feel free to add a review of any aspect of our business on our Google business listing, or on our Appleand Spotify podcast channels. Makes a real difference.
BACK TO BUSINESS
• Our page-view numbers for our most recent full seven-day span, April 10-16, were 783,858. Our most-read original piece was my column from Newark, N.J., on the Penguins clinching their playoff berth, at 11,160. Of note, I was just as happy to see that my column from PNC Park the other night on the Pirates' offense ranked second at 9,942. Our baseball readers rock.
• Our video views, also for April 10-16, were 274,451. Our most-watched program was my Monday Daily Shot of Steelers on the Steelers' breakout candidates, at 7,423.
