There were ... uh, sit down for this ... 503 new contributions Monday to our special-worker drive, so our new total's all the way up to 1,281!
And that's where it'll end!
We'd been seeking reader help building a fund of 1,000 discounted subscriptions for teachers, police, fire, nurses, other emergency workers and, of course, anyone who volunteers in any capacity, and with these two final contributions -- one of 500, one of three -- we've blown through the goal ... for good!
Thanks to everyone! I say this all the time, but it really does take the big ones and the small ones on drives like these, so it's kind of perfect, actually, that this ended with one of each!
