We've had persistent requests over the past year to try to squeeze a few more of those old Builders Bricks onto the back wall of our Downtown HQ/shop, and even more than the norm of late, presumably because of all the people soon to descend on the city for the NFL Draft.
Between that and some recent shifting of studio equipment, we've carved out space.
A little, anyway:
DALI KOVACEVIC / DKPS
Ha! See what I mean?
We'll limit this (obviously) final round to the Gold and Blue brand of Bricks, which are $1,000 and $250, respectively, same as the original wave. You let us know the message you'd like, and Dali works with you on the rest. Also, each Gold/Blue purchase comes with an exact replica, also same as the original wave.
I'd mentioned a few weeks ago that we'd be going to a friendlier, no-minus format on the up-cups/down-cups, and BoomPress has completed that process. The format's the same one utilized by YouTube and pretty much every other major platform, which allows singular up/down voting, but the total stops downward once it hits zero.
The goal's the same as other platforms: Keep the place from being engulfed by negativity.
Now, if anyone posts something ridiculous or worthy of being ripped, the closer that total comes to zero, the more it'll be obvious. Or better yet, just reply with actual words.
I'd just heard from way too many readers that it'd gotten unbearable to even open comments amid a sea of red minuses, and that's not useful to anyone. I promised back then it'd change, and here we are.
INSIDE THE WORKS
• I'm here in Manhattan this morning, and I'll be everywhere the Penguins go across the continent right through to the end as they pursue a place in the Stanley Cup playoffs. Taylor Haase will be along for most of this, too. It's a big deal, and we're putting all we have into it.
• Couple blips earlier this week in transferring our podcasts to a new provider, but those seem to have settled within a day. The provider offers a better scenario for us all-around.
• Our app users soon will be able to expand photos, coinciding with the visuals we're offering from Bradenton. I've gotten a glimpse at the gallery format, and it's sweet. There's a chance we'll have it within the next week or so.
• A reminder I'll be making a lot in 2026: A subscription to this app/site covers only that. It doesn't apply to any of those monthly memberships we offer on YouTube. And the same is true, obviously, in reverse. The reason: The platforms have nothing in common from the commerce perspective, and we couldn't create a single model if we tried.
• Our video views for our most recent full seven-day span, Feb. 20-26, were 257,750. Our most-watched program was my Monday Daily Shot of Steelers on Omar Khan, at 8,525.
• Our page-view numbers, also for Feb. 20-26, were 721,666. Our most-read original piece was my Grind from Bradenton, Fla., on the Pirates' Konnor Griffin, at 7,684.
