There’s a lot more to this, as I’ve been reporting for months. No one in the process doubted this part would take place. Rather, the skepticism was about Hoffman showing the league they’ve got the ability to withstand financial dips and, on top of that, the degree to which Mario Lemieux and Ron Burkle might be involved.
Also, the agreement price is $1.75 billion, as I’ve also reported for months.
