For anyone who missed this afternoon's live Double Shot show, our company's 11th anniversary was commemorated by two masked men walking into our HQ/shop about halfway through, as arranged by longtime subscriber Willy Peppers and a certain Boss who's really good at keeping secrets, and one of those masked men being ... well, someone who's used to wearing one.
It was awesome, amazing and all else to have the living legend Eddie Johnston, patriarch of the Penguins, on hand. And to boot, he even recreated his calling of Mario Lemieux's name from the NHL Draft floor at the old Montreal Forum. (He's gotten better at it, as you'll hear!)
This was Willy, E.J. and me with our respective masks, including the gift they have us:
DALI KOVACEVIC / DKPS
And here are multiple angles of the mask, hand-painted by artist Greg Bray of Rockmart, Ga., based on the original drawings by our staff cartoonist Rob Ullman:

I can't begin to describe how grateful I am for all of this, so I won't try. I'm blessed by this community, from the city I love to the team teams I cover to everyone who's helped built this place.
Thank you. So much.
