Broderick Jones politely declined when I sought an interview after this game, but a casual conversation that ensued ... yeah, he knew.
The offensive line, like Mason Rudolph, was on for two offensive series, and both went quite well for Jones, who was pretty much the only player I tracked through those series. Rudolph was sacked once, but even that came when he held onto the ball wayyyyyyyyy too long and allowed the Jaguars' Dawuane Smoot all evening to pursue. Otherwise, the entire line, including Jones, looked solid bordering on strong. Rudolph completed 9 of 10 passes for 84 yards, and he needed extra time for completions of 19, 15 and 19 yards, the latter for the touchdown to Darnell Washington. (Which also saw Rudolph immediately embrace Jones, then grab Jones' helmet while shouting his way.)
To Jones specifically: Matched mostly against Josh Hines-Allen, he gave room when he should've given room, he absorbed bull-rushes (beautifully) rather than over-committing, and he showed his standard push, as well. Every box was checked.
