The Steelers have signed tight end Jaheim Bell to a one-year contract. The team made the move official Monday afternoon.
Bell was initially drafted by the Patriots in the seventh round of the 2024 NFL Draft out of Florida State. He appeared in 15 games for the Patriots, with two receptions for 20 yards. He spent time with the Eagles' and Steelers' practice squads in 2025.
Bell joins a tight end mix that includes Pat Freiermuth and Darnell Washington at the top of the depth chart, but has an interesting mix for a potential third tight end. Bell will add to the competition that includes JJ Galbreath and rookies Lake McRee and Chamon Metayer. Riley Nowakowski, drafted in the fifth round out of Indiana, will serve more as a fullback, but will be a versatile piece that will sometimes line up as a tight end, as well.
