• Three unpleasant days on Chuck Noll Field, but today was the worst. It was not only over 90 degress, but really humid. Mike Tomlin wanted heat, well, he's getting it. And, they're doing a good job of monitoring players with heat-related issues. The only significant injury thus far has been Jeremiah Moon with a calf.
• Aaron Rodgers wasn't as sharp today, but I don't agree with any notion that he was bad. A lot more incompletions, but there was a lot more testing intermediate areas of the field. And a lot of the incompletions were either pass breakups or straight up drops. Cory Trice Jr. punched one out from the clutches of Jonnu Smith, and Calvin Austin III blatantly dropped two.
• Roman Wilson is playing a lot on the outside, and is just not looking good there at all. He's taking far too long to get out of his breaks on any kind of curl, hitch or out route. One time today, Rodgers scrambled and threw to his right and Wilson seemed to stop out of his break, so the throw sailed wide right. Zach Azzanni immediately pounced on Wilson, indicating the receiver at fault.
• After practice, Rodgers chatted with Wilson for a good length of time. He literally walked through the aforementioned routes and physically showed him what he's looking for coming out of breaks. Rodgers is known to be very detail-oriented, and I saw the proof today with my own eyes. And it wasn't done in a cajoling way. Genuine conversation so the timing and detail of these routes can be worked out.
• Zach Frazier's had two low snaps in seven shots. He's beaten himself up over it, and vows that this won't be an issue moving forward.
"I'll get it fixed," he said after practice. "It can't happen."
