Senior Bowl director Jim Nagy addressed the media today in Mobile, Ala., ahead of practices beginning tomorrow. A few takeaways:
• As I’ve been saying, this isn’t the strongest crop of quarterbacks. Nagy had the same sentiment, saying, “It’s certainly not last year. I don’t know if any of these guys would be in the top-six last year.”
• Regarding the whole class, Nagy said it’s not nearly as top heavy as some previous classes, but has more depth through Day 3 than last year. Said he’s talked to teams that have only “eight or nine” first-round grades on players.
• According to Nagy, the two strongest positions in this class are running back and defensive line, two needs for the Steelers. So, at least those align for Pittsburgh.
