It's been a pretty quiet week for the Steelers. The first wave of free agency is over. The pro day circuit is in full swing. No news from the South Side, in this instance, means Omar Khan, Mike McCarthy and Andy Weidl are turning their attention to the NFL Draft, which is now less than a month away.
However, we will have some new things to talk about next week. Not once, but twice, Mike McCarthy will address the media at the NFL Annual Meeting, which officially gets underway Monday, though everyone arrives Sunday. First, McCarthy is expected to speak with traveling reporters from Pittsburgh, myself included, on Monday. Then, he'll address the media at large during the AFC coaches' breakfast on Tuesday morning. After that, Omar Khan will speak with reporters from Pittsburgh on Tuesday afternoon. Finally, Art Rooney II will address reporters, as well, at the conclusion of the meetings, which is usually late Tuesday.
With all three of the most important figures in the organization speaking next week, we'll have plenty to talk about. So, stay tuned.
