The Steelers are hosting three more players at the UPMC Rooney Sports Complex for pre-draft visits, including two potential first-round picks: USC wide receiver Makai Lemon, Toledo safety Emmanuel McNeil-Warren and Michigan tight end Marlin Klein.
Lemon is one of the top wide receivers in this year's draft class. He's a bit undersized at 5-11 and 192 pounds, but he makes up for the lack of size with extraordinary ball skills, route running and a high contested-catch rate. There's a good chance he's not even available at 21st overall, but the Steelers getting a closer look could indicate genuine interest in case he is available or a trade up scenario presents itself.
McNeil-Warren is one of the top safeties in this class and could very well be an option at 21st overall. He's better closer to the line of scrimmage, but is also an enforcer and turnover creator when playing the robber position, as well. Over his college career, McNeil-Warren recorded five interceptions and forced nine fumbles in 48 games. At 6-3 and 201 pounds, he also possesses good size for the position.
The German-born Klein is a Day 3 option at tight end, which I've been told is probably most likely for the Steelers in this particular class. He has decent size at 6-6 and 248 pounds, but he's relatively new to football. That being said, he has good hands and blocking upside. He just needs more development, experience and needs to build some more muscle to handle the rigors of the NFL game at the tight end position.
