The Steelers are trading for Colts wide receiver Michael Pittman Jr. It's expected to be a late-round pick swap.
Pittman, 28, has been a very productive receiver for the Colts, totaling 485 receptions for 5,254 yards and 25 touchdowns in six seasons. His 2023 campaign was his most productive, catching 109 passes for 1,152 yards and four touchdowns. He was still very productive in 2025, as well, catching 80 passes for 784 yards and a career-high seven touchdowns, all while playing alongside Alec Pierce.
The Steelers are expected to sign Pittman to a three-year, $59 million contract extension, according to NFL Network.
The first addition of the offseason is addressing the WR2 spot that's been lacking for multiple seasons. Now, with the pair of DK Metcalf and Pittman, the Steelers are off to a good start in revamping the wide receiver position.
