The choices for Aaron Rodgers continue to be one of two options: Play for the Steelers or retire.
In the wake of Derek Carr's retirement, some on the internet tried to tie Rodgers to the Saints. However, reports out of New Orleans indicate that won't be happening.
"No surprise here, but Aaron Rodgers never really was a consideration for the Saints in the wake of the Derek Carr retirement," NOLA.com's Jeff Duncanwrote on X. "At their current stages, they don't make sense for him, and he doesn't make sense for them."
Nothing's changed on the Steelers' front. They continue to wait for Rodgers while he works through his personal issues. There's still no sign of any deadline in which they are undoubtedly moving on. However, according to the latest I've heard from the inside, the Steelers are keeping their eyes peeled for contingency plans should Rodgers opt to not sign with them or the team decides to move on.
