Sunday’s Best: Seeing sidelines in black and white

Roster decisions aren't black and white, but some of my favorite photographs are -- especially the portrait variety.

Every once in a while, I like to take a moment to appreciate the faces and the people I photograph in a way that only the contrast of varying shades of gray can. So, while the Steelers' roster is larger than it will be Week 1 in Cleveland, and while a lot of difficult calls still need to be made on that roster, Saturday was a perfect opportunity to slow things down and look at the faces on the sideline, regardless of their star power.

Let's take a look at some of the favorites. Above, you see a face which needs no introduction. But, if you're new to Pittsburgh, the NFL or generally haven't seen an advertisement on a television in the last few years, that's Antonio Brown and his pearly whites. And, he definitely falls under the star power category.
