You asked for it, you got it.

Some readers asked if Chris Carter and I would do dueling mock drafts before next week. We already had kicked the idea around, so it wasn't that hard to please the masses.

This is my third mock draft -- I'll do a final one that will come out next Thursday morning for the first day of the draft -- and Carter's maiden mock voyage this year. We'll see how they work out.

For those who haven't read the previous ones, I try to use different scenarios each time and I don't deal in potential trades since they haven't happened yet. That's why I like to release my final one the day of the draft. That way, any last-minute deals are included in the picks.

So without any further ado, here are the Lolley and Carter mocks, one week before the draft:

1. Cleveland, Josh Allen, QB, Wyoming — I don’t see Cleveland’s interest in Allen being smoke. There’s no reason. His athleticism and ability to play in cold weather, having played in Wyoming, will be the difference. -- Lolley

1. Cleveland, Josh Allen, QB, Wyoming — The Browns ache over passing up on Carson Wentz, so it makes sense they would go after a player that shares a lot of skill similarities. Wyoming head coach Craig Bohl coached both players and sees the similarities, so I expect the Browns to do so as well. -- Carter

---

2. N.Y. Giants, Saquon Barkley, RB, Penn State — The Giants aren’t ready to give up on Eli Manning just yet and Barkley might be the top player in this draft. -- Lolley

2. N.Y. Giants, Saquon Barkley, RB, Penn State — I think the Giants see a prime playmaker at a position they've needed an upgrade at for quite some time. -- Carter

---

3. N.Y. Jets, Sam Darnold, QB, USC — Darnold will be the latest to try to crack the code that is the Jets’ quarterback quandary. -- Lolley

3. N.Y. Jets, Sam Darnold, QB, USC — The Jets need a quarterback more than any other team. Though Teddy Bridgewater could ease the transition, they need a reset button at the position and this might be their best chance. -- Carter

---

4. Cleveland, Bradley Chubb, DE, N.C. State — The Browns get another stud defensive lineman to pair with last year's top pick, Myles Garrett. -- Lolley

4. Cleveland, Minkah Fitzpatrick, DB, Alabama — They let go of Jason McCourty and it makes sense they would continue to boost their secondary with the best defensive back in the draft. -- Carter

---

5. Denver, Quenton Nelson, OL, Notre Dame — The Broncos would be very interested in Barkley or Chubb, but miss on them in this scenario. They could trade out of this spot. If not, Nelson would help improve the line. -- Lolley

5. Denver, Bradley Chubb, DE, N.C. State — Shane Ray hasn't been the best combination with Von Miller and the Broncos' best days have come from being able to generate edge pressure from both sides of their defense. -- Carter

---

6. Indianapolis, Roquan Smith, LB, Georgia — The Colts also are in a prime spot to move down, which would make sense if they are going after Smith. -- Lolley

6. Indianapolis, Quenton Nelson, G, Notre Dame — I've looked at this pick a dozen times and it just makes the most sense. Protects Andrew Luck and can ease the running game. -- Carter

---

7. Tampa Bay, Minkah Fitzpatrick, DB, Alabama — The Bucs would love Barkley to fall to them, but they grab a player to upgrade their secondary instead. -- Lolley

7. Tampa Bay, Derwin James, S, Florida State — I see them as hoping for Fitzpatrick to fall and then taking the top pure safety in the draft. James' size and speed will fit into their developing young defense. -- Carter

---

8. Chicago, Denzel Ward, CB, Ohio State — Another team that could move down with one of the QB-starved teams. But Ward fits a big need. -- Lolley

8. Chicago, Denzel Ward, CB, Ohio State — Ward is the best pure cornerback in the draft and the Bears could fill out their secondary with a top-tier young player. He'll be the eventual man to replace Prince Amukamura. -- Carter

---

9. San Francisco, Tremaine Edmunds, LB, Virginia Tech — With Reuben Foster’s situation, the 49ers need a backup plan. And Edmunds might be better in the long term, anyway. -- Lolley

9. San Francisco, Jaire Alexander, CB, Louisville — While the 49ers did add Richard Sherman in free agency, pairing him with a young talent could change a lot about the defense. Alexander's 4.38 40 yard dash time helped push him up the list. -- Carter

---

10. Oakland, Derwin James, S, Floria State — The Raiders are said to be in love with James. -- Lolley

10. Oakland, Roquan Smith, LB, Georgia — Jon Gruden is looking for a way to build his defense with star players. He salivated over Vontaze Burfict on Monday night football, and he'll lose his mind over the best inside linebacker in the draft. -- Carter

---

11. Miami, Baker Mayfield, QB, Oklahoma — The Dolphins could be a team that moves up. -- Lolley

11. Miami, Vita Vea, DT, Washington — The departure of Ndamakong Suh opened up a huge hole in the middle of the defense. The addition of Vea could provide an immediate plug at that spot. -- Carter

---

12. Buffalo, Josh Rosen, QB, UCLA — Buffalo is another team that could move up. But it gets its QB, anyway. -- Lolley

12. Buffalo, Josh Rosen, QB, UCLA — Rosen has the most consistent throwing motion of all quarterbacks in this draft and the Bills have an immediate need. Perfect fit with LeSean McCoy to take off the pressure. -- Carter

---

13. Washington, Vita Vea, DT, Washington — This pick has gone unchanged in my mocks because it makes too much sense. Which means it won’t happen. -- Lolley

13. Washington, Tremaine Edmunds, LB, Virginia Tech — I really think Washington needs to boost their defensive front and Edmunds' athleticism presents a great option as an X-factor at that level. -- Carter

---

14. Green Bay, Leighton Vander Esch, LB, Boise State — The Packers need to upgrade their linebackers badly. -- Lolley

14. Green Bay, Michael McGlinchey, OT, Notre Dame — The Packers absolutely must protect their golden goose in Aaron Rodgers and McGlinchey is the highest-graded tackle of this class. -- Carter

---

15. Arizona, Lamar Jackson, QB, Louisville — The Cardinals can’t keep sticking a Band-Aid on the QB position. -- Lolley

15. Arizona, Lamar Jackson, QB, Louisville— Jackson's skills present a great run-pass-option threat along with the return of David Johnson. The Cardinals have to read the writing on the wall about Sam Bradford and not think he will finally complete a season. -- Carter

---

16. Baltimore, Calvin Ridley, WR, Alabama — The Ravens still need receiver help and Ozzie Newsome can’t help himself when it comes to drafting Alabama players. -- Lolley

16. Baltimore Ravens, Calvin Ridley, WR, Alabama — Ozzie Newsome loves himself some Alabama stars and the Ravens have a serious need at receiver. Circle gets the square. -- Carter

---

17. L.A. Chargers, DaRon Payne, NT, Alabama — The Chargers have a solid pass rush. Now, they need to shore up the middle. -- Lolley

17. L.A. Chargers, Leighton Vander Esch, LB, Boise State — The Chargers' defense showed that they could be on the verge of leading this team to take over the AFC West, but they need a commanding inside linebacker and Vander Esch can be just that. -- Carter

---

18. Seattle, Will Hernandez, G, UTEP — At some point, the Seahawks have to start protecting Russell Wilson. -- Lolley

18. Seattle, Donte Jackson, CB, LSU — The Seahawks need a cornerback to replace Sherman and Jackson's 4.32 40-time could be the speed they're looking for at the position. -- Carter

---

19. Dallas, Courtland Sutton, WR, SMU — After releasing Dez Bryant, the Cowboys need a playmaker on the outside. -- Lolley

19. Dallas, Christian Kirk, WR, Texas A&M — After releasing Dez Bryant, the Cowboys now have nobody at receiver that can scare defenses and Kirk is the explosive playmaker that can help Dak Prescott take attention off Ezekiel Elliott. -- Carter

---

20. Detroit, Marcus Davenport, DE, UTSA — Another pass rusher would work well for the Lions. -- Lolley

20. Detroit, Marcus Davenport, DE, UTSA — The Lions' defense is big on creating pressure with their front four and Davenport could be the bookend of that group across from Ziggy Ansah. -- Carter

---

21. Cincinnati, James Daniels, C-G, Iowa — The Bengals ignored their obvious need on the line last year and it bit them hard. -- Lolley

21. Cincinnati,Will Hernandez, G, UTEP — The Bengals need to be able to win in the trenches more and after passing on replenishing their line last year, they make the first steps to doing so here. -- Carter

---

22. Buffalo, Isaiah Wynn, G, Georgia — The Richie Incognito situation makes this an obvious need. -- Lolley

22. Buffalo, Billy Price, C, Ohio State — The Bills need interior linemen to help control the line in front of Rosen and McCoy, so they get a center that dominated big nose tackles on the regular in the Big Ten. Don't expect the combine injury to keep him off the field as a rookie. -- Carter

---

23. New England, Mike Hughes, CB, Central Florida — As the Eagles showed in the Super Bowl, the Patriots could be thrown on all day. They need to infuse some young talent in their secondary. -- Lolley

23. New England, Rashaan Evans, LB, Alabama — Bill Belichick was at the Alabama pro day and I'm pretty sure he was keeping a close eye on Evans. I noted on the day of their trade with the Rams to get this pick that this was the move to get Evans. They get their wish and pair one Alabama alum with another in Donta Hightower. -- Carter

---

24. Carolina, D.J. Moore, WR, Maryland — The Panthers have to get Cam Newton some targets. -- Lolley

24. Carolina, Courtland Sutton, WR, SMU — The Panthers gave away Kelvin Benjamin and lost their big receiver for Cam Newton. They replace him with a 6-foot-4 standout in Sutton that knows how to score as he averaged 10 touchdowns per year in his final three seasons. -- Carter

---

25. Tennessee, Harold Landry, OLB, Boston College — The Titans need to get a younger edge rusher. -- Lolley

25. Tennessee, Sam Hubbard, OLB, Ohio State — Hubbard is a good pass rusher and that defense needs edge rushers to boost their talented secondary. Line him up next to Jurrell Casey and that's a tough side. -- Carter

---

26. Atlanta, Taven Bryan, DT, Florida — The Falcons need a presence in the middle of their defensive line. -- Lolley

26. Atlanta, Da'Ron Payne, DT, Alabama — The Falcons choose to solidify the interior of the defense with a highly respected tackle to line up next to Grady Jarrett. If Payne falls this low I think it's a quick pick. -- Carter

---

27. New Orleans, Maurice Hurst, DT, Michigan — The Saints want to improve their pass rush and Hurst should blossom into a great interior pass rusher, despite being undersized. -- Lolley

27. New Orleans, D.J. Moore, WR, Maryland — Moore is a strong receiver with decent speed and Drew Brees needs a decent threat next to Michael Thomas. Moore and he would make a solid duo that adds balance to their already talented offense. -- Carter

---

28. Pittsburgh, Rashaan Evans, LB, Alabama -- I initially was thinking Jessie Bates in this mock, with Vander Esch going to the Cowboys and Evans going to New England. But the more I thought about it, the Cowboys are going receiver and the Patriots are going cornerback -- maybe. And that allows Evans to fall to the Steelers. He reminds me a little of Lawrence Timmons in that he could play inside or outside, but the Steelers will try him inside first. I'm concerned he didn't run a 40 in this offseason, but he looks plenty fast enough on film. And, as I noted in Friday Insider, some in the organization don't think the safeties, outside of the top two, should be first-round picks in this draft. - Lolley

28. Pittsburgh, Justin Reid, S, Stanford — The Steelers may have added Morgan Burnett, but they still need to fill out that depth chart at safety and don't have a pure centerfielder to play free safety. Reid is exactly that, as his 4.40 40-time illustrated his speed and his play in the Pac-12 showed him covering a ton of ground while also being able to line up all across the field. He'll grade out as a better cover safety than his older brother, Eric Reid, and be the centerfielder the Steelers need to play deep coverage. He also lines up all over the field and is comfortable with quickly changing direction to make up ground and attack the ball over big spaces. Check out the full film study we already did on Reid and his strengths and weaknesses. -- Carter

---

29. Jacksonville, Mike McGlinchy, OT, Notre Dame — The Jaguars need another big body up front on the offensive line. -- Lolley

29. Jacksonville, Connor Williams, OT, Texas  — The Jaguars will fill out their offensive line with one of the better tackles available. -- Carter

---

30. Minnesota, Jaire Alexander, CB, Louisville — Terrance Newman can’t keep playing forever. -- Lolley

30. Minnesota, Mike Hughes, CB, UCF — The Trae Waynes experiment next to Xavier Rhodes has not matured as the Vikings hoped, so they reload at cornerback with one of the better prospects of this class. -- Carter

---

31. New England, Connor Williams, OT, Texas — The Patriots need to replace Nate Solder. -- Lolley

31. New England, Kolton Miller, OT, UCLA — The Patriots lost Sebastian Vollmer two years ago and Nate Solder this year, leaving their depth chart extremely thin at tackle. Miller is the big tackle that they can pair with Marcus Cannon to help protect Tom Brady moving forward and help reload at the position. -- Carter

---

32. Philadelphia, Derrius Guice, RB, LSU — After losing LeGarrette Blount, the Eagles could use another back to pair with Jay Ajayi. -- Lolley

32. Philadelphia, Hayden Hurst, TE, South Carolina — The departure of Brent Celek opens up a hole at the tight end position and the Eagles can have a dynamic one-two punch with Zach Ertz and Hurst to create great double tight end sets for Carson Wentz. Having dual tight ends would work well for the Eagles' run-pass option style of offense as both can be effective blockers and provide coverage nightmares for teams that don't have good cover linebackers or bigger safeties. -- Carter
