First, EA Sports rated Daniel Sprong a 77 in its new NHL 19 video game, and the Dutchman wasn't too pleased with it.

Now, EA is suggesting that Sidney Crosby is not the best player in the league?

Yep, EA revealed its 10 highest-rated players in NHL 19 and Connor McDavid sits atop the list with a 94 rating, while Crosby is second at 93.

It isn't so much that Crosby is slipping, but Connor McDavid is getting better. A year ago, the respective captains of the Oilers and Penguins were tied at 93. But if your blood isn't boiling yet, Evgeni Malkin fell from a 92 to a 91.

Here's EA's complete top 10 list:

1. Connor McDavid, 94

2. Sidney Crosby, 93

3. Alex Ovechkin, 92

4. Drew Doughty, 92

5. Carey Price, 92

6. Nikita Kucherov, 91

7. Viktor Hedman, 91

8. Patrick Kane, 91

9. Evgeni Malkin, 91

10. Steven Stamkos, 91

Obviously, the rankings beg the question: Carey Price, really? Sounds like someone needs to sell games in Quebec.

However, EA isn't the only one to place McDavid ahead of Crosby. Earlier this month, Vegas oddsmaker Bovada tabbed McDavid as the preseason favorite to win the Hart Trophy. McDavid was the NHL's MVP in 2017, while Crosby was the Hart winner in 2007 and '14.
