Dupuis suggests divide between Sullivan, Malkin/Kessel

Pascal Dupuis appeared on the French Canadian network TVA Sports during the Flyers-Red Wings broadcast Tuesday giving his thoughts on what may be ailing the Penguins.

In a back-and-forth segment, host Louis Jean noted the apparent lack of engagement from the Penguins' players in games, notably Evgeni Malkin and Phil Kessel. Dupuis, who just attended the Penguins game and visited the players in the locker room at PPG Paints Arena this past Saturday, agreed that the team appeared that way.

"Its hard to say why," Dupuis said in French. "Since I played in Pittsburgh for awhile, I might have my own interpretation of the situation."

When asked what he thought was ailing the two players, Dupuis hesitated, then continued, "Mmmm ... I’m not sure the message passes well between both players and the man behind the bench."
