Well, Sidney Crosby is back and the Penguins are 8-1-1 in their past 10 games. They've accomplished an awful lot through the first three-plus months of this season -- more than anyone could reasonably have expected, under the circumstances -- but there are many challenges still ahead. Can they overtake Washington, which has experienced very little adversity this season, for first place in the Metropolitan Division despite relying on a still-diluted lineup? Do they have a chance to slingshot past the Capitals, Blues and Bruins and reach the top of the overall standings? Should Jim Rutherford, one of hockey's most aggressive traders, try hard to upgrade his roster, or should he proceed cautiously to avoid disturbing the chemistry that has served this team so well in 2019-20?
This is the place to discuss all of those issues, and so much more pertaining to the Penguins.
