TORONTO -- Bet ya didn't see this coming a month or so ago, did you? If you did, you're far more prescient than I, because there's no way I envisioned the Penguins being in first place in the Metropolitan Division going into their game against the Maple Leafs at Scotiabank Arena this evening. By now, we probably shouldn't be surprised by anything this team is able to accomplish, but it still is a pretty amazing season that's unfolding before us.
The question now is, do you think they can continue to accumulate points the way they have through the first 58 games, and what will it take for them to do so? And with the NHL trade deadline Monday, do you think Jim Rutherford to move aggressively to make another move or two and, if so, what type of player would you like to see him add? Finally, just how good do you think this team could be if it ever gets its lineup intact -- something we know won't happen until during the playoffs, at the earliest -- and continues to play with the same structure and discipline that has gotten it this far?
This is the place to discuss all of those things, and everything else pertaining to the Penguins.
