The Steelers have taken their first punishments for violations of the NFL's COVID-19 protocols during the 2020 season.

First reported by Adam Schefter of ESPN, the Steelers have been fined $250,000 and Mike Tomlin has been fined $100,000 for members of the Steelers' coaching staff not wearing masks during their 28-24 win over the Ravens on Sunday at M&T Bank Stadium:

The Steelers are the third team fined for violations of the NFL's COVID-19 protocols, with the Raiders being fined $650,000 and docked a draft pick earlier this week for multiple violations, and the Titans who were fined $350,000 for their violations.

These fines of the Steelers also come during a week where the NFL fined both JuJu Smith-Schuster and James Conner $5,000 each for their socks not fully covering their lower legs.

This also comes during a week where Ravens cornerback Marlon Humphrey tested positive for COVID-19, and that led to the Ravens placing several defensive players on their COVID-19/reserve list. As of Friday morning, the Steelers do not have any players on their COVID-19/reserve list.
