DeVincent Spriggs, 26, and his attorney, Todd J. Hollis, filed a report with the Pittsburgh Police Wednesday alleging he was assaulted by NFL superstar Aaron Donald at the Boom Boom Room after hours club on the South Side of Pittsburgh on April 11.
But now, Donald's attorney claims to have evidence that clears Donald's name from any wrongdoing in the incident. Rick Earle of our partners at WPXI, reported Friday morning that surveillance video showed Donald breaking up a fight on the night of the incident, rather than assaulting Spriggs:

Donald's attorney, Casey White, appeared on 93.7 the Fan Friday morning to further explain why the three-time NFL Defensive Player of the Year wasn't guilty of any assault on Spriggs.
According to White, the altercation started with Spriggs being escorted from the after hours club after bumping into Donald and yelling loudly over other partygoers. Donald would later leave the club with his brother, where Spriggs was still outside. That's when White claims the incident further escalated.
"We have the surveillance video," White explained. "And we have five corroborating witnesses with more coming out of the woodwork. Mr. Spriggs started walking towards Aaron, yelling, drunk and being aggressive. Aaron sees something in his right hand that he thinks is a gun, but it's actually a long liquor bottle. This guy swings his right hand, and Aaron ducks. The bottle grazed the top of Donald's head, and now he has a lump on his head from that. And that's when all hell breaks loose."

"So as soon as Aaron ducks," White continued. "The people that know Aaron grab him from behind. There's no dispute that Mr. Spriggs is injured, but the other people who were there that night were responsible for protecting Mr. Donald, and in turn, causing injuries to Mr. Spriggs. He does get punched, slammed and kicked in the head, but the whole time Mr. Donald is restrained."
Spriggs' attorney, Hollis, claimed that Spriggs suffered several injuries from the incident, including a concussion, broken eye socket and a broken nose.

"But as this fight continues," White continued. "Aaron then breaks free from the restraints, and this is all on video, goes to the pile where this melee is taking place, and he starts tearing people off protecting Mr. Spriggs. He actually saved Mr. Spriggs from further injury."
Now that part of the video is out, it does appear to show Donald helping Spriggs. That would clear him of any assault charges that might come from Spriggs' report to the Pittsburgh Police.
