Mike Lange will be back in the radio booth for the first time this season when the Penguins host the Bruins at 7 p.m. at PPG Paints Arena.
The Penguins' regular radio play-by-play broadcaster this season, Josh Getzoff, will be away tonight due to the birth of his first child.
Lange, 73, initially announced prior to the start of the season that he would be opting out of the start of the season after consulting with doctors and deciding that it would be best to wait for a vaccine.
The Penguins on Tuesday said in a press release that Lange is now fully vaccinated, but an unrelated medical procedure delayed his return.
"I am not yet 100% but am happy to get back into the radio booth to help the team," Lange said.
Getzoff is expected to return to the radio broadcast on Thursday.
