ALTOONA, Pa. -- So many times this year Robert Morris had been in a situation to win a game only to fall short. Saturday night at the UPMC Events Center, that didn't happen.
It was Kahliel Spear who willed the Colonials to a 74-64 victory over Northern Kentucky to move to 3-14 on the seaons.
"Really happy for the guys and the way they performed tonight and finally getting over the hump," head coach Andrew Toole said. "It's never easy. We did a lot of good things, especially down the stretch of that game. We came up with some big stops and some big rebounds and scrapped out some hustle plays. It was unselfish basketball."
Spear scored 13 points in the first half en route to a 21-point evening and this slam.
