Here's Yankees fan Brian Rappaport, who is worried the team isn't all-in for 2025, writing on X, "I'm starting to get worried that The #Yankees and [GMBrian] Cashman are doing that thing again where they get the fans excited with the offseason but still need more help - hold off - and end up with a Jay Bruce-type, thus not going "all the way in."
After losing out on Juan Soto, Cashman went out and traded for Cody Bellinger and signed free agent Paul Goldschmidt. Apparently a lineup of C Austin Wells, 1B Goldschmidt, 2B D.J. LeMahieu, 3B Jazz Chisholm Jr., SS Anthony Volpe, LF Jasson Dominguez, CF Aaron Judge, RF Bellinger and DH Giancarlo Stanton, with a rotation of Gerrit Cole, Carlos Rodon, Marcus Stroman, Nestor Cortes and Clark Schmidt isn't "all the way in."
He's probably right, but tell that to a Pirates fan when the latest 4-A du jour sets up shop in PNC Park's right field, where he'll have a stellar view of 112-game Spencer Horwitz playing first base.
