Kevin Hayes was a guest on this week's episode of 'Spittin' Chiclets,' primarily to give his analysis on the playoffs, but he talked about a couple of Penguins-related topics as well.
On playing with Sidney Crosby: "Sid's the absolute man. You hear all these stories when you play against him. He's super nice, he's genuine, he's nice to everyone. He's the ultimate professional that I've seen. He makes sure everyone's having a good time, everyone's comfortable. He works super hard. He's hilarious, he loves hot-stoving in the training room. Lives for it. ... He might be mad at me for saying this, but he knows a bunch about birds. We'll be like driving on the bus and we'll see a bird, and he'll tell me exactly what type of bird it is."
On the team parting ways with Mike Sullivan: "It's tough to see Sully go. He's a great coach. Super honest, he demands a lot. I was only there for one year, I'm sure you'd get better intel from other guys. But tough to see him go, I'm sure he'll find a job pretty quickly if that's the route he wants to go. It's tough to see him go."
