AHL-contracted forward prospect Matty De St. Phalle scored his first goal of the year in Wilkes-Barre/Scranton's 6-4 loss to the Rochester Americans on Friday.
De St. Phalle, 25, has just the one goal in seven games, matching his output in his seven AHL games from last season. The University of Wisconsin product had 20 goals and 35 assists in 62 games in his rookie season with the Nailers last year.
• Wilkes-Barre trailed 4-1 after 20 minutes, with De St. Phalle's goal being the Penguins' lone goal. Alex Alexeyev's second of the year and Tristan Broz's sixth made it a one-goal game in the second period.
• Sam Poulin's fourth goal in the third period tied the game, but the Americans added a power-play goal and empty-netter in the latter half of the frame.
