Just wanted to reiterate a couple of things because I've seen some crazy takes around the last few days:
• Filip Hallander coming back immediately after the Penguin moved on from Mike Sullivan is purely coincidental. Hallander had agreed to this months ago, but was obviously still playing over in Sweden and couldn't sign this summer until he got out of his contract over there.
• He spoke of his reasons for leaving North America back when he signed with Timra, and it wasn't for lack of opportunity over here. He and his wife had a baby when he was 21 and he wanted to be closer to home. Timra is his hometown team and the club in which he started. When he left Timra the first time, it was because Timra was relegated to the lower league. While Hallander was in North America, Timra worked its way back to the SHL. He spoke of a feeling of "unfinished business" over there.
