Forward BokoImama underwent successful surgery to repair a bicep injury this morning, per general manager KyleDubas.
The procedure was performed at UPMC Mercy Hospital by head team physician Dr. DharmeshVyas and Dr. JohnFowler of UPMC Sports Medicine. Imama's recovery time is expected to be four to six months.
Imama played in 16 NHL games prior to missing Thursday's game against the Sabres. During that time, he scored one goal, compiled a plus-2 rating and registered 30 penalty minutes.
