Penguins forward prospect Filip Hallander won the award for the Swedish Hockey League's Forward of the Year on Thursday.
Hallander's 53 points in 51 games ranked second in SHL scoring this year, and his 24 goals also ranked second. He was one of only three players to record over a point-per-game pace in the league this season.
Hallander signed a two-year contract worth the league-minimum $775,000 to return to the Penguins' organization starting next season.
