Kris Letang is pretty happy to have P.O Joseph back on the Penguins' blue line.
"He's a tremendous person," Letang said after the Penguins' morning skate on Saturday. "You know, everybody in the room loves him. He's a guy that has such a different mindset to come to the rink with tons of pleasure and trying to get better. It's contagious, and it runs through your room."
Joseph appears set to be in the Penguins' lineup on Saturday against the Devils, taking line rushes alongside Ryan Shea with Ryan Graves the odd man out on defense as a result. Letang thinks that Joseph can recapture the success he had in Pittsburgh last season in his return.
"He finished on a pretty strong note," Letang said. "He was playing tons of minutes. He's a guy you can rely on both sides of the ice. So whether it's defensively or offensively, he can chip in. So I think it's a good fit here for him, and I can't wait to see him play."
Joseph lived with Letang in his first stint in Pittsburgh. Letang said he's unsure if he'll be Joseph's landlord again -- "I don't know. He's got a past-due amount from two years ago, so I'm collecting interest before he moves in."
Letang wasn't willing to waive Joseph's overdue rent in the name of the Christmas spirit -- "I'm the Grinch, I always told you," he quipped.
