Sergei Murashov extended his franchise-record win streak to 13 games on Friday with a 5-4 win over the Norfolk Admirals. Murashov, who has not lost a game since Nov. 1, made 31 stops in the win:
Murashov is now 14-2 on the season with a .927 save percentage and a 2.24 goals-against average. Friday's win was only his third ECHL game all season with a sub-.900 save percentage (.886) with the only other two instances coming in the back-to-back he played in his first weekend with Wheeling.
Murashov, of course, took his little Olaf figurine down to the beach in Norfolk yesterday so Olaf could see the Atlantic Ocean. Great to know that he's still the same quirky guy through all this.
The Nailers' goals came from Jack Beck, Dilan Peters, Gabe Klassen (2) and Atley Calvert. They improved to 23-5-1 on the season, giving them an insane .810 points percentage.
