• USA wins, 6-1. Four-goal third period. Decisive win. Tkachuks led the way. The regulation win moves them ahead of Canada in the standings.

• GOAL: Matthew Tkachuk again, on the power play. Both Tkachuks have two goals. They cut to their dad Keith in the crowd on the videoboard, he's loving it. USA 6, Finland 1

• Another USA power play coming up with 9:47 left. Joel Armia sits for two for roughing.

• Nothing on the Finland power play.

• Finland gets a power play with 15:27 left. 

• GOAL: USA is running away with it now. Brady Tkachuk skates in and tucks one past Juuse Saros' pads. USA 5, Finland 1

• GOAL: Jake Guentzel immediately add to the lead, 11 seconds after Matthew Tkachuk's goal. Skated in and threw a wrister on net from the circle. USA 4, Finland 1

• GOAL: Matthew Tkachuk extends the USA lead 15 seconds into the third on the power play. Long-range shot, beat Juuse Saros clean. Not a good goal for him to give up. USA 3, Finland 1

• Third period is underway. Olli Maatta remains in the box for his crimes.

• End of the second. USA leads, 2-1. Finns will have 1:58 to kill off on the Olli Maatta penalty to open the third.

• Finland takes a penalty with 2.2 seconds left in the period. Olli Maatta sits for two for hooking.

• GOAL: Matt Boldy gives USA the lead with a redirect in the slot. USA 2, Finland 1

• Finns kill the penalty. Brief shoving at the U.S. bench between a couple players at the next stoppage.

• USA gets another power play with 12:41 left in the second. Nikolas Matinpalo sits for two for boarding Jake Guentzel. Not sure about that call, looked like Guentzel lost an edge.

• The second period is underway.

• End of the first period. It's tied, 1-1. Henri Jokiharju and Brady Tkachuk with the goals. Former Penguins Mikael Granlund and Olli Maatta with assists. USA leads 12-7 in shots.

• The U.S. kills the penalty and Noah Hanifin gets a breakaway out of the box. Juuse Saros comes up with the sliding pad save.

• Finland gets a power play with 8:16 left in the first. Noah Hanifin tripped Patrik Laine.

• GOAL: The Americans tie it. Brady Tkachuk drives to the net, take a whack at his own rebound. It goes off Juuse Saros and in. USA 1, Finland 1.

• GOAL: Henri Jokiharju, who looked to be a possible healthy scratch pre-tournament, opens the scoring. Cool for him. Soft goal for Connor Hellebuyck to allow. Finland 1, USA 0

• Finns kill off the penalty.

• USA to the power play. Joel Armia sits for two for cross-checking.

• Things are feisty already.

• A brief "U-S-A" chant breaks out at the first puck drop but is echoed by chants of "SU-O-MI."

• We are underway.

• Boos throughout the U.S. anthem, as has been the case in this building as of late when they play American teams. Big applause at the start and conclusion of the Finnish anthem.

• Wow, yeah. Heavy boos as the U.S. team is introduced and loud applause for the Finns. 

• Definitely a pro-Finnish crowd, with the Canadiens players on Finland and Toronto's Auston Matthews on the U.S.
