The Nailers staved off a sweep and forced a Game 5 with Friday's 4-1 win over the Norfolk Admirals at WesBanco Arena.
Matty De St. Phalle scored twice, and the Nailers also got goals from Cole Tymkin and Eli Lieffers. The Nailers had previously scored just one total goal in the first three games of the series.
Jaxon Castor, who spent much of the season as Wheeling's third goaltender, stopped 29 of 30 shots with Sergei Murashov and Taylor Gauthier both up with Wilkes-Barre.
Game 5 will be on Saturday. The remainder of the series will be in Wheeling.
