Jared Jones is expected to make his next scheduled start against the Reds on Saturday at PNC Park. He will be opposed by left-handed pitcher AndrewAbbott.
Jones completed three innings against the Rockies at Coors Field on Sunday before being removed with a right elbow contusion after being hit with an 88-mph line drive off the bat of Colorado's TJRumfield. Jones had more scans done on Monday, which confirmed no fractures in the elbow. He played catch on Tuesday, threw a bullpen today and evidently cleared the hurdles necessary to be cleared to make that next scheduled start.
Paul Skenes will start Friday's series opener and face ChaseBurns, while MitchKeller gets the finale against BradySinger on Sunday.
