Hunter Barco exited his start for Class AAA Indianapolis in the first inning of this afternoon's game against Louisville with an apparent injury.
Barco, the Pirates' No. 5-ranked prospect according to MLB Pipeline, left while in the middle of an at-bat against Ivan Johnson. After throwing a pitch, the trainer came out to check on Barco, and the bullpen immediately started to get going:
This was Barco's second start for Indianapolis after being promoted from Class AA Altoona where he threw 25 2/3 scoreless innings.
