• JoseAlvarado pitches the ninth for the Phillies. Lefty will face two lefties in Cruz and Lowe.
• Bohm flies out to right to end the inning. Three runs there for the Phillies to tie it. Top of the Pirates order due up.
• Confirmed that the ball was in play. Also confirmed that Schwarber was out at third. Two outs in the ninth but the Phillies still have a runner in scoring position.
• Play is under review to see if it was a homer for Harper. Looked to me like it hit the top of the wall.
• RUNS: Two-run single for Harper ties this game in the ninth. Blown save for Soto. Tied at 8-8
• RUN: Four-pitch walk to Schwarber brings in a run. Pirates, 8-6
• Turner single to right loads the bases for Schwarber with one out.
• Two are on here in the ninth after an error by Griffin and a one-out walk to Adolis Garcia. Top of Philly's order is up.
• GregorySoto on to close things out.
• Fans are doing the wave and it's quite funny seeing so many cones in the middle of it.
• Pirates get a runner to third but can't add onto the lead.
• Montgomery with a 1-2-3 eighth.
• Montgomery stays out to throw the eighth. Bohm, Marsh and Stott due up.
• Ashcraft's final line: 6.2 IP, 7 H, 4 ER, 0 BB, 4 K. Threw 76 of 100 pitches for strikes.
• A: 29,998
• HOMERUN: An even 20 homers for Schwarber on the season. First pitch he sees from Montgomery. Two-run shot. Pirates, 8-5
• Ashcraft gets two outs in the seventh and exits to a nice applause. Another really strong outing from him. He's responsible for that runner at first, but MasonMontgomery will enter to face the lefty in Schwarber.
• Ashcraft gets a seventh up. Surprising.
• RUN: Two errors here in the sixth by Philadelphia. This one on Bohm allows Horwitz to score from third. Pirates, 8-3
• Hard to believe this is true, but that's stolen base No. 1 in the career of Horwitz. Advanced to third on an error by Stubbs.
• A scoreless sixth for Ashcraft. He's up to 91 pitches, so I'd have to imagine he's done for the night. Surely did his job once again.
• HOME RUN: Third multi-homer game of the season for Lowe. His 12th of the year is a shot to right-center field. The guy just rakes. Pirates, 7-3

• Pirates have the bases loaded for now. Infield single by Griffin followed by a walk to Rodriguez. Triolo laid down a bunt to move them over and was ruled safe at first, but it's being reviewed. I think he's out.
• Ashcraft walks one in the third and strands a runner by getting Schwarber swinging at a 3-2 curveball in the zone. The confidence to throw that pitch with conviction in a 3-2 count against a hitter of Schwarber's caliber. Just wow. (It does help that Schwarber is a .186 hitter against breaking pitches, but still)
• Ozuna hits a ball to deep left and I thought it would carry more than it did. It dies near the warning track and O'Hearn is doubled off at first. The latter had to have thought that was at the very least going over the head of Sosa.
• Three balls hit on the ground and three outs for Ashcraft in the second.
• Lowe with an exceptional diving stop going to his left. Robs Marsh of a base hit to begin the second.
• Pirates get a leadoff baserunner on a walk to Cruz. He is caught stealing second, Lowe strikes out and Reynolds grounds out to first.
