The Pirates have claimed right-handed pitcher JackLittle off waivers from the Los Angeles Dodgers. Little has been assigned to Class AAA Indianapolis.
Little, 27, was designated for assignment on Aug. 4 and made two relief appearances with Los Angeles this season. He made his big-league debut on June 19 against the Padres, allowing two runs in two innings. He also tossed a scoreless inning of relief in his only other outing with the Dodgers on July 5 vs. Houston.
Little spent a majority of the season with Class AAA Oklahoma City where he went 5-4 with 13 saves, a 4.64 ERA and 39 strikeouts in 36 appearances.
