Mitch Jebb had quite the week for the Altoona Curve against the Harrisburg Senators. In six games, Jebb went 12-24 with a double, two triples, more walks (two) than strikeouts (one), and stole four bases.
He got a hit in five of the six games, four of which were multi-hit efforts. He had three straight games with three hits.
After an up-and-down 2024 in Greensboro, Jebb has taken a big step this year in Double-A. He currently leads the Eastern League in stolen bases (16) and is third in average (.326) and on-base percentage (.417).
He also has the second-best Swinging Strike rate (SwStr%) in the league and has nearly as many walks (20) as he does strikeouts (21).
It's an old-school lead-off approach that's working in one of the main testing grounds for prospects.
