In hitting his 15th home run of the season, a three-run blast off of Bryan Abreu in the eighth inning Tuesday, Brandon Lowe became just the fourth Pirate in the 21st century with at least 15 home runs and 40 RBIs through his first 55 games of a season, joining BrianGiles (16 HR/54 RBI) in 2000, JasonBay (17 HR/46 RBI) in 2006 and Josh Bell (18 HR/51 RBI) in 2019.
Lowe has made quite the first impression, too, as he is the only Pirate (since RBIs became official in 1920) with at least 15 home runs and 40 RBIs through his first 55 games with the team.
