Baseball: Pitt to play Louisville in ACC tournament
The bracket for the 2025 ACC Baseball Championship was released on Saturday evening following the conclusion of regular-season play. The 15-seeded Panthers will play the 10-seeded Louisville Cardinals on Tuesday at 5 p.m. at the Durham Bulls Athletic Park.
The last time the Panthers and Cardinals met on the diamond was in the pool play round of the 2022 ACC Baseball Championship. Pitt bested then No. 9 ranked Louisville, 6-5, on a walk-off in the bottom of the ninth inning to advance to the semifinal round. Pitt has won three of their last four games against Louisville.
New for 2025, all 16 ACC teams will compete in a single-elimination championship. The top four seeds are based on their performance in the regular season and receive a double-bye into the quarterfinal round, which is scheduled to be held May 22-23.
