Yale created a problem for Pitt's offense and on three consecutive possessions Cam Johnson found the answer.

The Bulldogs did everything they could to stop Michael Young, clogging inside passing lanes with a zone defense to prevent easy baskets. As Yale's perimeter offense began to thrive, Johnson all but ended its comeback.

Johnson made a three-pointer on three consecutive possessions to give Pitt a nine-point lead with just more than four minutes to play, and for a second consecutive game, the Panthers made a late defensive stand, securing a 75-70 win over Yale on Tuesday night at the Petersen Events Center.
