Five slices of wholly unsolicited advice for Heather Lyke, Pitt's athletic director, in her imminent search for Kevin Stallings' replacement:
1. No bleeping search firm.
If anyone thought I was out of line at Stallings' introductory press conference to question then-athletic director Scott Barnes on having used one of those crony-polluted search firms to find his man, they sure don't now. (Well, I actually still do regret the awful "Come clean" part of the question, but not the concept. You get it.)
