Xavier Johnson, Trey McGowens and Au'Diese Toney came to Pitt as Jeff Capel's first recruiting class, and it was clear they all were going to get every opportunity to perform.

So when things start clicking for all three like they did Thursday night, the trio makes it appear that they are the right ones to guide a Pitt resurgence.

McGowens scored 24 points, and Toney had 20 — both career highs — while Johnson scored 21 to continue his run of double-digit games as the Panthers cruised to and easier-than-expected win over New Orleans, 99-57, at Petersen Events Center.
