Here it is, folks. Here's your 2026 Steelers schedule:
CHRIS HALICKE / DKPS
The three preseason games are also known:
• Thursday, Aug. 13: vs. Packers at Acrisure Stadium, 7 p.m. • Friday, Aug. 21: vs. Jets at Acrisure Stadium, 7 p.m. • Thursday, Aug. 27: at Bills at Highmark Stadium, 7 p.m.
The Steelers opening the season at home is a rare occurrence, as it's just the second time since 2014. The last time, in 2023, the Steelers also hosted an NFC team (49ers), which wound up in a lopsided 30-7 loss.
There are undoubtedly benefits to this schedule. The biggest of them all is the lack of travel. While the Steelers do have an international game in Paris, they only leave the Eastern Time Zone one other time (Week 17 at Tennessee). The Steelers will travel 14,183 miles this season, the eighth-fewest in the NFL.
However, there are some interesting stretches. Coming out of the bye week with two road games, one in Cincinnati and the next in Philadelphia, is not easy. The Steelers also have to play the Ravens twice in four weeks, the second being the season finale in Baltimore. During that four-week stretch, the Steelers have a home game against the Panthers in Week 16 that's still undecided of when it'll be played. That is the week of Christmas. The Steelers also close the season with two road games, playing the Titans in Nashville before closing in Baltimore.
All in all, in a season in which the team is set to have eight home games and nine road games, the Steelers wound up with one of those road games in a neutral site (Week 7 against the Saints in Paris). And prior to the final two games of the season ending on the road, they have a stretch in November and December in which they play four home games in a five-game stretch. That time of year, that matters.
