George Pickens was targeted six times, and his only catch came on a bubble screen on the Steelers' second offensive play that was blown up immediately. After which:
All three were catchable, and the first two would've been first downs. While Pickens has been phenomenal at times and lived up to the billing as a No. 1 receiver, this was the fourth time in his career where he's been held to zero yards or less. He has 900 receiving yards this season, but hasn't had more than five catches since he had eight in the win over the Ravens, and he hasn't topped 100 receiving yards since the win over the Jets.
Pickens was unavailable for comment, leaving the locker room soon after it opened to media.
Russell Wilson expressed faith.
"Everything's not always perfect for everyone. This is an imperfect game," Wilson said. "I believe in George. I believe in who he is, the player he is. He's been a star for us all season. You know, he's going to be a difference-maker for us in the playoffs obviously, and I'm looking forward to that and what he can do, what we can do together. I'm not blinking on George."
